North Cambridge (King's Hedges)
West Anglian Orienteering Club (WAOC) welcomes you to our North Cambridge (King's Hedges) MapRun event. There are 6 courses available.
Details
The 2025 courses are part of our Summer MapRun league from 30th April until the end of 13th May. To enter after 30th April, please email go@oentry.uk.
All courses use a proper 1:4000 orienteering map with permission.
The 2023 courses were planned by Peter Molloy, member of the GB team and ex-CUOC student, on one of the trickiest sprint areas in Cambridge, so you can expect interesting route-choices, constant changes in direction and fun terrain.
There is a junior-friendly course that does not cross any roads. This is suitable for over 12s. All other courses are only suitable for over 16s.
You must NOT go through any gates which are not marked as open on the map; some flats include gated walkways at the bottom of stairwells which may be either open or closed.
