Nottingham Knolls Micro-O
North Gloucestershire Orienteering Club (NGOC) welcomes you to our Nottingham Knolls Micro-O MapRun event. There are 3 courses available.
Details
These courses are a little different: three short MicrO orienteering courses on a small-scale 1:1000 map. They're located on Nottingham Hill, which is just North of Cleeve Hill between Cheltenham and Winchcombe.
Each is about 0.6km long (measured by the straight-line route). Because of the small scale we've set the punching tolerance to 5m: your phone's GPS may take a little while to notice it's in the circle, so best not to take these too seriously as races! As it's just a bit of fun, we've enabled the ability to see your location and check how the GPS is doing.
The courses can be downloaded from the UK/Gloucestershire/Training folder.
Parking
at the summit of the B4632 between Winchcombe and Cheltenham, turn onto Wickfield Lane. Follow this as it becomes Bushcombe Lane, until you get to the semi-circular parking area on the left.
