15 minute score

This is a Score course which means you should get as many controls as you can within 15 minutes.

There are 16 controls in total. You do not need to get them all and you can visit them in any order.

The following rules apply:
  • There are two sets of controls, evens and odds, on the same map
  • Runners can run either evens or odds first and then the other
  • The runner's first block is determined by whether two odds or two evens are punched before two of the other (or stated another way, of the first three non-duplicated controls visited, two are even or two are odd)
  • The flip to the second block is signalled by visiting two controls in the second block in succession. (i.e. two odds after an initial block of evens or vice versa)
  • Runners don't need to visit all evens or all odds and could just visit one block of controls
  • Controls of the wrong type in a block (i.e. odds visited in an even block and vice versa) do not count towards the points score but can be visited in the correct block for points. These controls are listed as Extras in the results table
In addition, controls also score different numbers of points:
  • Controls numbered 30 to 39 score 30 points
  • Controls numbered 40 to 49 score 40 points
  • Controls numbered 50 to 59 score 50 points
For each minute or part-minute you are late back, you will lose 30 points. The highest number of points wins. The time you take is used as tie-break.
