West Anglian Orienteering Club (WAOC) welcomes you to our Standon Meadows MapRun event.
Full leg cover is advised. The depth of the stream on the meadows varies throughout the year. It may be ankle or shin deep. Please give cows a wide berth.
The grass on the meadow is deliberately allowed to grow and is 'harvested' in the spring, so the course is best run in June/July. At other times, the grass may be impractically long (and the stream may be too deep). The area should be avoided around the annual Standon Calling event.
You may park on the High Street
Course: Standon Meadows
45 minute score
This is a Score course which means you should get as many controls as you can within 45 minutes.
There are 30 controls in total. You do not need to get them all and you can visit them in any order. Each control scores 20 points. For each minute or part-minute you are late back, you will lose 10 points. The highest number of points wins. The time you take is used as tie-break.
