Cherry Hinton Hall Park
West Anglian Orienteering Club (WAOC) welcomes you to our Cherry Hinton Hall Park MapRun event. There are 4 courses available.
Details
All courses are suitable for juniors as there are no road crossings. If in doubt, all juniors should be accompanied by a parent/guardian on their courses. The Short and Medium Junior courses are approximately Yellow and Orange standard respectively, but the Short has a couple of legs where Yellow runners may need extra help and both are shorter than usual. Both the Short and Medium courses visit an island area to the east of the map surrounded by streams. Please be careful near the water and make sure you only cross at the bridges.
The Beginner course does not go near the water and each control location is visible from the last.
To complete the Bearings course you have to navigate to the feature shown on your map. MapRun will not ping at this point. When you are at the feature, get your compass out and follow a bearing for 20-40m. The bearing to follow is shown as the control number in the description. MapRun will ping when you arrive at the control site which is a place which is usually out in the open and not on a specific feature.

Cherry Hinton Hall car park off Cherry Hinton road. Paid for using JustPark from 10:00 to 15:00 daily, but free outside of those times.
