Great Notley Country Park

Essex Stragglers Orienteering Society (SOS) welcomes you to our Great Notley Country Park MapRun event. There are 4 courses available.

Details

The parkland is an attractive mixture of open and wooded areas, with some hills, hedges, lakes and ditches. Take care to avoid the wild rose, bramble and other thorns! During the wet winter weather parts of the park can get very muddy.

The Short/Medium/Long courses use the Permanent Orienteering markers. The short course (1.5km) is ideal for a beginner.

Please bear in mind:
Be aware of walkers & cyclists / Maintain social distancing at all times / Respect the out-of-bounds areas marked on the map / Natural hazards include trips and slips, thorn bushes and some deep water. You are responsible for your own safety, i.e. you take part at your own risk
